Onkyo TX-NR515 7.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver
Set this up in my living/TV room and the surround is outstanding (if the source provides it). You actually feel like you are in the center of the action when the surround movie is playing. Many TV shows now have surround also and this receiver delivers. I am a true technophile and I still have two empty HDMI ports on this thing--if only I could figure out how to run two monitors and a TV from my computer I would use one more of them. This receiver has all the inputs you co
Onkyo TX-SR313 5.1 Channel Home Theater AV Receiver
For the money, this is a good receiver and does the job for my LG 60 plasma... but it is a little annoying haveing to download from a CD and then print the instructions. After getting the instructions, some sections were not very clear, so... I started using my "tech head" and it was hooked up and running in no time. I did have to lug thu the instructions to get the set up, sound and in/output settings that I wanted. Upside: Lots of HDMI connections, good 5.1 sou
Onkyo TX-NR717 7.2 Home Theater AV Receiver
Well I needed an up-to-date receiver (had a Denon 3310 which was awesome, but lacked 3-D), so I chose Onkyo's 717. I had my eye on the 818, but I didn't want to spend over a thousand just for some extra watts that I didn't need. Okay so what do I like about this receiver? I like that I can simply plug my Ipod into the front USB port and Voila! Sounds great because of the Digital-to-Analog converter the Onkyo uses. Second, I like that I can plug my PC into this
Onkyo TX-NR414 5.1 Channel Network A/V Receiver
I helped my church purchase this receiver and helped set it up.. I did need some networking help and after some calls was able to get some help in better understanding how to connect onto the Wifi in church.. the trick to getting their customer service is to do a callback reservation or go on their FB page.. but they also told me about their youtube and that was helpful too.. but for a normal 5.1 stereo its good enough.. no problems with any drop outs because I changed the
Yamaha RX-V673 7.2 Channel AV Receiver
This the third Yamaha receiver in our house, and each has been great and a significant improvement over any previous receiver. The HTR-5760 is 8 or 9 years old and therefore does not have HDMI in or out. The digital signal is carried only over optical cable, but it still produces true home theater sound from a DVD player. It is now relegated to the bedroom TV. The RX-V667 is about a year and a half old and powers the living room system. It has full HDMI capability, and an
Yamaha RX-V671 7.1 AV Receiver
Spec this, feature that...... what I care about MOST is the quality of the SOUND from my amp. I've had all kinds of amps in my time, cheaper and more expensive, but the RX_V671 just sounds so CLEAN AND NEUTRAL it is amazing. It doesn't add anything to the sound OR subtract from it. I have some good Energy speakers and have tried other amps on these same speakers and have been less than impressed compared to the sound output quality of the 671. I don't know if t
Marantz SR5006 Best PriceI look at most of the reviews here and it seems that few talk about the most important feature in this AUDIO video receiver. This Marantz is what really saved me from more grief as I am an audiophile. Therefore Gui is a second thought to me,which by the way is basic, but by no means hard to work with and does what it's supposed to to unlike a similar Denon at the same pricepoint that I tried to like but returned because of lousy sound and glitchy HDMI handshake at times. When
Marantz SR6006 Best PriceThis receiver is awesome!! Airplay works great, love Pandora and the Internet radio, you have over 19K radio stations from all over the world, just from the internet. HD radio sounds awesome also. Blu-ray discs sound amazing although I suggest you just use pass-thru on the video if using PS3 or a top rated blu-ray player. The upscaling on the blu-ray seems to make the picture brighter, although it does a great job of upscaling component video and my FIOS DVR box via HDMI. Pla
Yamaha RX-A2010BLThis receiver packs in the features and provides beautiful quality music and movie reproduction. I am in week two of ownership and not regretting the purchase. You will not be unhappy with this receiver. Yamaha gets it done!
