You should totally buy the purple version of this camera! I got it after debating between the plain black or the metallic purple. It looks very modern and makes you stand out in the crowd. I like the glossy/shiny look of it and it doesn't make it look cheap

works well,fast between shots, flash is good for normal night shots. used at the beach and pool area on a 7 day cruise. no problems with it at all. great underwater shots of wife swimming under water. has underwater mode to help take great picures. the only negative thing i would even say about this camera is you have to make sure to push the on button good, I guess it is part of the waterproofing. Buy it and you will enjoy it, take it to the beach, snow, sand all will be good.

I could not be more happy with this camera. I have had it in the water twice and have gotten some neat videos. Quality is very good for an inexpensive camera. On auto it is a little overexposed outside in full sun but change to the sunlight setting and your good to go. Don't expect a top of the line Cannon but a great camera for the money.

Just make sure you close the door fully. The little clasp will click and show black, not yellow when it is fully closed. Probably best to not open at at the beach so no sand gets in the seal. If you are a little careful, it will last a couple of years, at least. Its not a $700 camera, but with a little care it will sure take pictures like one. I bought an extra battery, but it lasts a long time. 160 bucks for mine, went up a little since then.
