Xbox 360 Console System Reviews & Testimonials |

The Best Home Electrolysis I Ever Owned By Janet Ross (North Carolina) (Amazon.com) |
I have to admit, I was very skeptic about this product when I first bought it. Once I got it, I review the instruction and it was extremely thorough. It had so much information about hair growth cycles as well hair growth in general. It looks like this manufacturer is really an expert in this category. After following the instructions, and continued use I was able to destroy all hair follicles. The hair in the treated areas is gone forever!!!! I would highly recommend this product. I hope this helps. |

Fun Console, Lets hope it lasts. (Falcon Chipset) By E2400 (Ohio) (Amazon.com) |
Just thought I'd let everyone know whose considering buying one. It looks like they're shipping the new Xbox's with the falcon chipset. Mine was manufactured in 12/07 and runs off the 175watt power supply.
From what I've read, most people shouldn't have a problem with your system and the RROD, if you take the necessary steps to make sure it stays as cool as it can. From what I've found out here's some stuff that will help it stay cool:
-Make sure its laying flat on a hard surface
-Make sure its got plenty of ventilation (don't block the back fan ports)
-Do not play the xbox off of carpet or a rug (heat builds up with these surfaces)
-Keep the power brick away from the console and also lay it on a flat hard surface.
Some other good ideas:
-Point a small house fan towards the top of the console, so air gets in through the top holes.
-Lay the Xbox down on a Laptop cooling fan (I'll probably do this one; the fan will only run when the console is on because most are powered by the USB ports)
-About once a month, blow out the console using an air compressor or canned air, so dust doesn't build up. (Dust can lead to more heat)
It is kinda sad, this thing has to be babied so bad. But it still is a lot of fun, and its got the best 'selection' of games and online play. |

Better than expected By Scott (NJ) (Amazon.com) |
This is a great vacuum, its quiet, and has great power. It's pulled things out of the carpet that my older vacuum has left behind for who knows how long. There are many attachments that are well placed and the auto plug rewind was what really made this vacuum my choice. Of course its great that its bag-less and has a rinsable hepafilter that never needs replacing. Its a slight bit heavier then I'm used to but, its well worth it and the low price you can't go wrong with it! |

The Best bagless vacuum I've owned to date! By N. Christensen (Waterford, Michigan USA) (Amazon.com) |
I bought this vacuum as a replacement for a Eureka that broke down and died after only 7 months of use. I paid the difference in the price of the two vacuums for this, as I had a warranty that was transferred to this vacuum......bonus!! (Just in case) I have been thoroughly impressed by the suction power and the dirt it picks up.....so far it is the best bagless upright I have owned and it was priced under 90 bucks at my local appliance warehouse (but I only paid 24 hehehe)
I have only owned it a month, but so far so good! |

Gives me piece-of-mind By Hawk Eye (Amazon.com) |
I have owned this vacuum for one year now and I am very impressed with the results I have gotten with it. After our old early 90's hand-me-down Hoover went out I bought a Eureka Altima. The thing worked real good for about 3 months then started smelling hot and making strange noises while in use. Couldn't figure out the problem - belt was fine. I unscrued the hood to find the brackets which hold the brushtoll in place were melted. Others have experienced similar results. Now I know the problem... it's a peice of s**t! Luckily the store I bought it from has a better return policy than the product itself. I got my money back and bought this Hoover instead.
Like I said, I have been pleased. I get a sick pleasure out of examining all the dirt and fibers this vacuum pulls up. It gives me piece of mind to know that all that junk is no longer lying on the carpet surface being kicked-up and breathed-in by my family. After seeing what this thing sucks up after just a few days, I can definatly believe the claims that are made linking carpets and asthsma, especially in children.
I do have one tip: at some point you might begin to notice your Hoover doesn't have the suction it once did. You may first notice this in the handheld device. Don't panic. Your vacuum does not "suck", well it does, but not in the bad way. You only need to do a better job of cleaning out the inner filter. When you go to dump the dirt canister, 'unlock the yellow basket filter and remove the inner round filter. I removed the ultra-fine caked-on dirt with one of the vacuum's own attachment - the brush with the stiff stationary bristles. The process takes <5 minutes. Then when you turn on, watch out! Obviously the better care you give this machine the longer and more efficiently it will serve you. |

Excellent Vaccuum for the Price By Tarvinder Bedi (Mountain View, CA) (Amazon.com) |
I bought this vaccum with coupons with my amazon cards rewards and plus they gave me extra off for applying for a credit card so it was a awsome deal. This vaccum is good and plus its automatic rewind cord is a excellent feature. The power is great. It picks up everything and anything. The attachments are a plus. Cant beat the price and quality.

Great vacuum for the price By U. Lehmann "Movie Nerd" (Amazon.com) |
I've had this vacuum for almost a year now and use it almost every day (I have two long-haired cats). It works well on hard and soft surfaces, as well as furniture when using the attachments. It sucks big time, literally! I like the retractable cord, you just push a button and it retracts into the vacuum by itself. The dust container is clear, making it easy to determine when it needs to be emptied. Emptying the dust is as easy as pushing a button to release it, pushing another button to drop the bottom lid out of it, then closing the lid. You don't even have to get your hands dirty. I definitely recommend this for the price. |

Good enough for me By L. Truong (Amazon.com) |
I saw the marketing for the EVEN lighter version on QVC or something. But I figure I need the heavier one cause of the stains I got.
IT's pretty scary when it came but it did an ok job. It didnt take out the dog poop stain that sat there for 3 days lol
But I like it better then my old one and I'll use it for a while. When I actually have time to do it.
Doesn't dry fast but it didnt advertise to dry fast.
ALWAYS vacum first then use the carpet cleaner and then vacum again I find that helps alot. Just my two cents. |

Light and effective By L. Pedersen (Tampa, FL USA) (Amazon.com) |
I got this while it was on sale, and was very pleased. It does a good job of cleaning both carpet and furniture. It is light and easy to move around, much easier than the vacuum.
It does have some drawbacks to the design. The intake and outake canisters are a little tricky to open at first but you get the hang of it. Also, to drop the handle back you have to press on the right hand foot pedal and it is a bit hard to get it to release.
As another poster pointed out, it does not suck up the water really great. This is only a problem when you have really tough stains that get overly wet. For normal use, simply pushing it over the spot a few imes without pressing the water release will dry it sufficiently. On the whole, I would say it is an excellent all purpose steam cleaner. However, if you want to clean up pet stains, you might need something that is more like a wet vac that can suck up a lot of water.
I did not have any problems with it cleaning all the stains on the carpet. The carpet looked like new afterwards, with a nice soft nap - and so did the furniture. |

Does a great job By K. Gladfelter "KristyG" (Mexico) (Amazon.com) |
I read many reviews before buying this and was worried about leaking but I haven't had that problem at all. It's easy to use and to clean. I've only used it once but it was on carpeting in rooms recently remodeled (with lots of sawdust). After cleaning the carpet, the tank was filled with a grey sludge (even though I had vacuumed 3 times before cleaning) so I would say it does the job! |

Perfect for what it is By Garry Koenigsberg (San Francisco) (Amazon.com) |
I really like mine. Like my previous Hoover, it's considerably better built than Bissel, although all these things are more fragile than vacuum cleaners and need a little respect. The flat scrubbing brushes on this are gentler on wet carpet than a roller is.
This does a better job of cleaning than my old, heavier Hoover. As for drying, other reviews are right -- drying is not as good as heavier machines. This is cause-and-effect; the heavier the machine, the more the nozzle is forced into the closet and the better the suction. But you can get carpets reasonably dry, and for me the lighter weight is well worth it. |

Hard working, light and easy to use By M. Reen "Practical Dreamer" (Battle Creek, MI) (Amazon.com) |
We have hardwood floors and area rugs (Flor tiles. We also have a wood burning stove and a dog. The Bissel Spot Bot just left light colored rings and took forever. We need regular carpet cleaning, but didn't want to invest in an expensive steamer for just a few area rugs. After researching this unit, we ordered it. It is exactly what we needed. It works pretty quickly, is easy to fill and move around. With monthly cleaning, our carpets are like new each time. You do have to watch the storage tanks as it uses more water than you think. Even a medium area (9x11)may require two tanks. I am very pleased with the value for the money and the performance of this. Now I can stop paying Stanley Steamer $300 a year to clean. |

Best vacuum EVER! By C. M. Richmond (White Sulphur Springs, WV United States) (Amazon.com) |
This is the best vacuum I've ever owned! I have an indoor dog and cat, a 5 year old son and messy hubby so there is plenty of dirt, pet hair and who knows what to suck up! The HEPA filter is great b/c you can't tell that you've vacuumed b/c the air is nice and clean (no just vacuumed smell). Every time I use this I'm thinking how much I love it (and I hate to vacuum!). I've owned mine for almost a year now and haven't had any trouble...only good things to say. You won't be disappointed in this machine! |

Whoa, Nelly! By J. A. Geary "JayDownSouthInDixie" (Lakeland, FL USA) (Amazon.com) |
When my wife "Sarge" ordered me to go out and buy a new vac for the homestead, I did my research and chose this Eureka model. This is a LOT of vacuum for $150.00 and suction power to burn. But watch out!!! This baby will run away from you, if you're not careful. With a 12 amp motor, and when the rotor brush is on, it's like a self-propelled lawn mower. This is great for wall-to-wall carpets and makes quick work of larger area rugs, but God help the flimsy throw rug or stray piece of clothing that gets in its way. The "Power Paw" stair attachment has its own rotor brush that adds a whole new and scary dimension to stair vacuuming (and upholstery if you've got three cats and a dog as I do). Scary, because it's loud. The foot release for the handle is a tad stiff - you really have to push down on it. The cord could also be a bit longer.
If you're looking for a serious suction machine that won't clean your wallet out in the bargain, this isn't a bad buy. But if you're not up to taming this beast, go with something a little less aggressive. |

Definitely recommend this vacuum! By Sarah Roberts (Ocala, FL) (Amazon.com) |
I chose to purchase this vacuum based on reviews written by other owners of this vacuum and consumer reports online. I have been using this vacuum for about 3-4 weeks now and it has great performance as far as suction goes. The extension tubing does reach my 10ft ceilings while the vacuum rests on the floor. It is a relatively quiet vacuum too. I like the long cord...I don't have to stop vacuuming to re-plug it in. There are just three features so far that keep me from giving it a 5-star rating. The button that you push with your foot to allow the handle to come back to vacuum is difficult to push. It takes quite a bit of force with your heel. The brushroll control lever (allows the brush to turn on for carpet and off for bare floors) is also a little difficult to put into position. The first time I used it I thought I was going to break the lever but it took some force for it to stay in the position desired. This brushroll control feature is wonderful though. I have hardwood floors and it's nice not to have the rollerbrush going around on the bare floor. The third issue is the heaviness of this vaccum. I did read this in other reviews so I knew ahead of time. I have a ranch floorplan so I don't have to carry this thing up and down stairs. If I did, it would not be an easy task!! It weighs 20 pounds. Overall I have been happy and satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend it based on how it cleans my floors and carpets. |

Apple iPod Shuffle 1GB (2nd Generation) By Brittany Gal "Brittany Spaniel Lover" (Edmond, OK) (Amazon.com) |

Does what it is supposed to By Stephen McLin (Lafayette, CA) (Amazon.com) |
I finally retired my decade old HP 5 -- a printer that weighed 40 pounds and had lots of gravitas and cost $1,000 in today's dollars. I replaced it with the 12 pound HP 1022 -- which seems flimsy in comparison.
The 1022 does everything it is supposed to -- it is faster to print, much faster to warm up, prints envelopes, etc.
My only complaint is that the paper roller feeders "torque" the paper slightly -- which I noticed printing return address labels and Quicken checks in which the print lines are not quite parallel to the edge of the paper.
If you are printing out, say, a Word document you don't even notice that it is slightly canted. This is, I guess, the price you pay for something that is faster and more lightweight. I've gotten over having my checks look not quite perfect, but if you are really fussy you should buy a printer in the $300 range. You are just not going to get perfection in this price range. I suspect all the small cheaper printers do this as they have fewer rollers pulling the paper in -- and are yanking it in much faster than the old style printers.
I also suspect, due to the size and weight of the toner cartidges, that you get less than half the copies from a given cartridge compared to the HP 5. Clearly HP sells the printer at cost or a loss so they can sell you $80.00 toner cartridges with 400% markups, following Mr. Gillette's marketing advice from 1912.
All in all, it works fine. My wife has one as well, and she likes it. |

Good Deal for the Money. By Hudson River Reader (Hudson River Valley, NY) (Amazon.com) |
The 1022 replaced a HP printer that cost me $1000 a decade ago. Although the print driver supplied by HP didn't work properly on my Intel iMac running OS X 10.4.11, it worked great with a generic HP Gimp driver. Worked fine with the supplied HP driver in my G4 Powerbook. Otherwise, small and very fast. No complaints! |

Soon impressed by its quality By CTSimpson from Campbell, CA (BestBuy.com) |
Pros: Light weight, easy to use, supports Mac and PC
Cons: Feels a little cheap, No ability to increase storage
"When I first got this camera, I was a little disappointed at its cheap feel, but the simplicity and amazing recorded picture had soon lived up to the claims of the reported quality output I had read about. I am very satisfied with the picture for the price, and I am very pleased with the battery life I get from just 2 AA batteries. I primarily use this camera for small clips, and online sharing, but it could easily store those precious memories in a quality you won't be disappointed about. great little camera, fun to use By Shang (BestBuy.com) |
Pros: portable, easy to use
"We bought 4 of these to give as Christmas gifts, all work fine, everyone loved them. it is lots of fun to take short videos of family events, kids doing cute stuff, is small enough to keep in your pocket or purse, so easy to use, upload and share.
If you want a high- end picture quality with lots of options , don't get this. I think the Flip's small size and ease of use are the reason it is a great camera. It is perfect for what we wanted it for, to catch daily moments: our toddler doing cute things, cats being funny, etc. Even my elderly parents loved it and were able to use it easily. If you have a bigger camcorder that is difficult to carry around and use, you might have higher quality videos but you wont use it as much." |

"So easy, a caveman could do it." By Demache from Sioux Falls, SD (BestBuy.com) |
Pros: Easy to use, conveniant, no proprietary batteries
Cons: No image options, short battery life, no image stabilization
"For the price, it is a very decent camera. At first I was bit wary when I got this as a gift. Being used to tape based camcorders I wasn't sure if this would have a very good quality image. It surpassed my expectations by far. The quality is a little under DVD but far better than VHS. Another plus is that it doesn't use proprietary batteries, it just runs off of 2 AA's. All you have to do is put it in your pocket and your on your way!
Although it is great, it does have some design flaws. There are NO image options whatsoever even as basic as brightness and contrast. You can't even change the time you set initially set up when you first power on the camera. Also there is no image stabilization so the camera will seem like its shaking all the time if you have shaky hands. Although buying a tripod will solve the problem (it has a standard camera tripod screw that you can use) it would've been a very good feature, being the camara has no weight to help keep it stable. It also sucks up batteries fast so you can only use it for one hour on one pair of batteries." |

Luv it! By beutiful from Las Vegas, NV (BestBuy.com) |
Pros: Very simple to use
Cons: volume or speaker could be better
"Well, i've been reading some of the reviews and i'm just blown away with the neg feedback. I bought the flip for my girls for Christmas. They're at the age where they are roll playing, singing, dancing and having fun! They even do a video show on the weekend and download it to there computer and send to there friends. This camera is easy to operate. There's only a few buttons to choose from so it's not complicated at all. When the're ready to download they don't have to look for usb cable it's connected to camera. I looked at a few different cameras however they either had buttons on them that were not necessary for what we were looking for or the screen popped out and I could see it dropping and that part breaking off. We've haven't had any problem with it not turning on. As far as the batteries are concern every video/digital camera eats the batteries so that's not new news. We just invested in rechargeable batteries which will last with recharging. Now I must say that the speaker or sound could be better but it's acceptable. My girls absolutely love this camera. It works for what I was looking for. It's simply and fun! You know it's been said that kids are more intelligent when it comes to using electronics. My kids have enjoyed every moment with this device." |

Strengths: 1. Small: portable, even pocketable to carry 2. Plug and Play: easy transfer data 3. Inexpensive: nice value for the money (around $150 for 60 minute Recording)
Summary: I bought this item at AMAZON about 10 weeks ago.
This pocket shirt-sized little video camera is simple to use, easy to transfer data. I found that the sound quality is just not bad. The zoom is adequate but not great. It uses two AA batteries that are easy to install.
I rated this product 4 stars because I wish the zoom was stronger and resolution could be better (but it fine and the 30 frames per second makes the video very smooth) I also felt mono sound quality is decent but not perfect.
Overall, this is a very good camcorder if used for the purpose for which it is intended. It cannot make me a great motion picture shooter, but it's good for a starter as like me.

Strengths: Light weight, simple to use
Summary: We purchased this camera in November 2007 and have used it several times. (NOTE: While we've taken a lot of video, we haven't tried to e-mail or upload the video files to YouTube.)
The image quality is about what you'd expect for a $150 camcorder. Not great, but not horrible. However, we noticed the zoom feature is very limited, as it appears there is no digital zoom capability. Also, filming in dim light is very bad. So we now use this camera for mainly outdoors and nearby shooting.
Also, the camcorder uses 2 AA batteries and we went through the original set rather quickly. So, we'd recommend using rechargable batteries to save money.
Overall, this is a handy camcorder to keep nearby when you want to shoot video (and it's definitely better than any cell phone or PDA that we've seen to date).

Summary: We enjoyed everything about this camera. It's great not to have to charge the battery when you're traveling. If you run low, you can stop in any store that sells batteries and you're good to go! Easy downloading and filming make this a must have item. |

Great MP3 Player By P. Dovi (Amazon.com) |
I purchased the Sansa E260 as my first MP3 player after quite a bit of research. Of course I considered the heavy weight Ipod and Zune however I was steered away by the high cost and bloated software that came along.
For approximately 1/2 the price of the equivalent Zune or Ipod, the E260 gives you great bang for the buck.
Features that I was most impressed with:
- No bloated software necessary, supported Plug and Play (Drag and Drop) USB Mass Storage style use.
- FM tuner
- Voice Recorder
- Support for additional Memory via SD
I highly recommend this device and I am really happy with my first MP3 player. :) |
