This sharp lc32sv29u TV is ideal for our family room. Easy to setup, connected to the Wii, DVD player, and cable box nicely and everything looks great. Used to do switch off the "Ambient Light Sensor" that others have pointed out and also the color went from dull to master. I attempted the "Dynamic" setting too, also it made things even better. I suppose it is dependent around the light inside your room of the items works well with you. I additionally have no idea why the seem would be a problem for other people, it's noisy and obvious..even on the low seem "number." No problems, setup was easy. We run straight cable; picture arrived obvious and sharp without any adjustment needed. TV isn't our existence and so I believe we are pleased with this lc32sv29u. I usually shop around and really make sure it's a good product that I am investing in. However, this time, I didn't do that until after I had already purchased this TV. I was really nervous about it after reading a lot of the negative feedback on Amazon, and had considered canceling my order. However, I waited to see with my own eyes, and I'm glad I waited. It's a really good TV. I personally do not have any trouble with people's skin tones looking incorrect. No one looks orange or pale like a lot of other owners have said in their reviews. The only people who looked orange were the cast of Jersey Shore, and I'm pretty sure that's how they look in real life. It has a great quality. Is it the best? Probably not. My family isn't a family who is into sports, but we did notice during channel surfing that a football game is kind of fuzzy. It doesn't handle sports who well, but for us, who don't watch sports, we could not care less. Regular and HD TV looks fabulous, and it's a great improvement over the old tube TV that this replaced. I bought sharp lc32sv29u 32-inch 720p hdtv on Cyber Monday for $229.00. I then started to get nervous about it after more reviews were coming in saying the picture was not good. It is for my bedroom so not a main TV. I got the TV on Friday. It hooked it up via RCA cables and was ok with the picture. Messed around with the settings for a few minutes and it got better. I grabbed my HDMI cable from the downstairs TV and hooked it to this one. The picture was exponentially better, which you would expect. I have Direct TV, and it comes across great. SD channels look better than my other TV, not that it is the greatest TV either. I got this on a sharp lc32sv29u 32-inch 720p sale for $230, and I consider that a great price for a good TV. There have been some other comments about flesh tones not looking quite right, and I have seen signs of that, but it appears to be related to the broadcast, not the TV. I haven't played any DVD's yet, just been watching over the air TV, some HD, must not. The flesh tone on the movie I just watched was perfect. Last night, on PBS, it was noticeable.
