What I have found is that the iPhone is an amazing powerhouse of almost supernatural capabilities. I suppose the iRadar used alone is an adequate detector but when pared with the iPhone, Shazam! While I have gotten some false readings in the K and X bands if a Ka allert comes on a cop is nearby. Our local police drive around with their radar on constantly (thought there were some health concern about that) the iRadar picks them up easily on city mode. It is on the highway that this device really earns its cost. Ka is picked up over hills, around curves, as long as the radar is hot one gets plenty of warning to check one's speed and adjust as necessary. Very satisfied with this product.
