Even though it is designed for and will also be great on when & patio, I have tried personally in inside having a stereo system receiver/Compact disc player and like it. Required these as they are and without having to open it had them working immediately. Was happy they can use battery's or plug them in, because its so convenient. I acquired 2 and after inserting them during my member of the family stated, wow you might have got these rather than that fancy costly home theatre audio system.
