I ordered the rebuilt unit due to the extreme savings... and with my experience of buying rebuilt products they are just as good as buying a new product. So I see the overall satisfaction is the savings in Dollars and getting a quality product.

I've been slow in reviewing this product. I bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas last year. He was surprised and excited! We hooked it up right away (we already had an HDMI cable) and over this past year have watched MANY videos on it. We haven't had any problems at all, and are very happy with the purchase!

After a year and a half of ownership I can say that this was a very good purchase. I bought into HD-DVD and got burned. I purchased the BD60 when many players were agonizingly slow and I really just wanted a player that didn't take 5 minutes to turn on. This player fulfils that need and more. It's not as fast as a plain old DVD player and some of the newest models now beat it but it still holds its own. Picture quality on Blu-Ray is excellent. I almost never watch DVD's but they look good as well. There are better players for upscaling but this one does a good job. This player is connected to my receiver via HDMI and I get all the HD audio formats through MPCM. I do not use the remote (URC MX-900 instead) but my impressions are that it is OK. It's a basic remote with no back lighting. It is easy to feel your way around without looking at it. The BD60 also has internet functionality thanks to VieraCast. I have not used this feature a whole lot. It doesn't do Netflix but it does have Amazon VOD. I have used the Pandora app a few times and it works as advertised. Overall this player is very good. I have no complaints.
